Find Your Feet in India

In India, we work with the most marginalised groups including women, tribal people (adivasis) and dalits to build a more secure future.

We are currently working in some of India's most deprived states including Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal and Jharkhand.

Our India office is based in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. Our local staff bring a wealth of experience in community-based development in India.

We are helping vulnerable families in India to:

• provide training and access to low interest loans
• address women's needs and rights
• develop innovative and sustainable agricultural practices
• access basic services including clean water, healthcare and education
• protect the livelihoods and rights of hand-loom weavers and brick kiln workers
• raise awareness of HIV/AIDS and improve access to prevention, treatment and care
• develop organisations that give marginalised people a voice in the community

Saksham India Trust

The Saksham India Trust is an independent resource organisation closely aligned with Find Your Feet.

We have partnered with Saksham to provide key support to our partners in India so that they grow from fledgling organisations to become strong and independent agents of change.

Saksham specialises in organisational development, capacity building, leadership skills, innovation and learning, networking and management support.

As a resource organisation, Saksham also provides development information and training for individuals and development organisations.
