Food Security
FYF is a member of the UK Food Group, the leading UK network of NGOs working on global food and agriculture issues. The UK Food Group's vision is of a world in which hunger has been banished by food security.

Sustainable Agriculture
FYF is a member of the GM Freeze Campaign. Concern over the speed at which genetic engineering is being introduced and it's safety and impact, has led to calls on the Government to put a freeze on:
- the growing of genetically modified plants and the production of genetically modified farm animals for any commercial purpose
- imports of genetically modified foods, plants, farm crops and farm animals, and produce from genetically modified plants and animals
- the patenting of genetic resources for food and farm crops
