How We Work
Find Your Feet (FYF) is dedicated to creating lasting solutions to poverty. We work with local partner organisations in India and Malawi to create opportunities for people living in remote rural communities to build a stable livelihood.
Our projects respond to local needs
Our partners are locally based and have an in-depth knowledge of the poor rural communities they work alongside.
Projects build on the community's own skills and knowledge, to increase levels of food production and income and to improve access to healthcare and education.
We work in parntership with local communities
Local people are involved at every stage of project planning and implementation. By involving communities in finding solutions, FYF enables people to develop skills, ensuring long-lasting positive impact.

We work with innovative grassroots organisations
FYF has offices in Lucknow (India) and Lilongwe (Malawi). Our local staff are committed to supporting our partners. We ensure they can grow and develop so that projects continue after FYF funding ends.
Staff carefully assess projects to ensure the needs of the poorest members of society are being met. We then support the project design process and regularly monitor and evaluate the work throughout the life of the partnership.
We think small is beautiful
Partners start by running small-scale pilot projects where they are supported with training, expertise and funding.
Once the pilot phase has been successfully implemented, a commitment is made to a longer-term parntership and the project is "scaled-up" in order to benefit more people for longer.
We realise that success does not take place in isolation. FYF therefore builds linkages between our partner organisations so that they can lean from each other's experiences and successes.
In order to challenge the structural causes of poverty, FYF encourages our partners to lobby government bodies to introduce and implement policies that benefit the poor.
In the UK, we campaign with other organisations to tackle the underlying causes of poverty.
